CarnoSyn (Beta-Alanine): 2,000 mg
The good old Beta-Alanine. One of my favorite substances, and a good dose of it. 3,000 mg had been preferable, but 2,000 is still a good amount that should give you a good pump and a bit of the famous tingling sensation. It has been proven beneficial from a bodybuilding perspective, over and over again. I have posted more details about beta-alanine here and here. The short version is that supplementing with beta alanine will improve endurance, performance and strength, and combat fatigue.
HydroMax (Glycerol Powder 65%): 1,000 mg
Glycerol is a pump amplifier which seemingly won't give you as much of a pump as say NO, but the pump you do get will be longer lasting, due to water retention. A side benefit from glycerol is a proven prevention of post-workout dehydration. But what exactly is the deal with HydroMax then? HydroMax is simply the trademarked version of a better (as in, containing more Glycerol) glycerol powder, from the company Glanbia Nutritionals Inc.
Choline Bitartrate: 550 mg
Choline Bitartrate is a substance often used in nootropic stacks, and sold as a brain-boosting supplement. As it often forms part of pre-workout supplements, I have covered it several times before here on this site. Choline Bitartrate is Choline merged with a chemical salt in order to increase absorption. It is mostly known to help with improved memory and learning abilities, along with improved focus. The recommended dose is around 500 mg.
Theacrine (as TeaCrine): 50 mg
TeaCor / Theacrine / Tetramethyluric Acid – a compound very similar to caffeine, but hyped like crazy because it’s supposedly shouldn’t build a tolerance in the same manner that caffeine does. In addition to this, the effect should be longer lasting than normal caffeine.
Extended Release Caffeine: 420 mg
Caffeine Anhydrous & PharmaSure SR Time Release CaffeineCaffeine and lots of it. I haven't tried the time released caffeine before and I am not sure how much we get of each here, but I can definitely say that 420 mg caffeine is close to my limit! But if part of this is being released over a couple of hours, the scenario might be very different.
PharmaShure® SR Caffeine is a micro-encapsulated form of caffeine designed to release slowly over an extended period of time prolonging the effects of the caffeine.
Another common CNS stimulant that I have highlighted several times before, here on muscles.zone. It's often referred to as a weak version of Ephedrine, with a similar set of actions that can improve fat loss mainly by enhancing lipolysis and increasing the user's resting metabolic rate. It's stimulating effects are not comparable to that of ephedrine but still noticeable, making it an OK substance in a PWO, but I personally think it's better suited for fat burners in my opinion. It is however, still a solid substance and will add to the energy boost you get from Yeah Buddy.
Another "weak Ephedrine", or at least with mechanisms similar to that of ephedrine. It has been shown to be an effective beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic agonist, but with limited studies to back this up. User experiences often seem to highlight that Higenamine does have stimulating and energy boosting properties and often categorize the effect as in between Synephrine and Ephedrine.
Phenethylamine or PEA is often referred to as the love drug, which is also found in small amounts in chocolate. It is metabolized by monoamine-oxidase which is why some people use it alongside a Monoamine-Oxidase-Inhibitor (MAO-I) such as Hordenine as you then need a much lower dosage of PEA to feel the effects. PEA allegedly has nootropic and mood enhancing properties and is generally believed to enhance focus, concentration, mood. The reason it’s often referred to as the love drug is that the feeling people described from a dose of Phenylethylamine HCl resembles the release of chemicals seen when people fall in love. Phenethylamine, somewhat similar to amphetamine in its action, releases norepinephrine and dopamine. The effect is, however, shortlived. We don't know exactly how much PEA we get from a serving of Yeah Buddy, but probably not a lot, considering the prop. blend is a total of 82.5 g.

Yohimbine HCl is an alpha-2 receptor antagonist. Basically, it inhibits the receptor responsible for blocking lipolysis and is because of this, it is a very common substance in fat burners. It is, however, also often used in pre-workout supplements, as it is believed that yohimbine may increase neurotransmitters adrenaline and noradrenaline that is likely to boost your workout session through improved focus and performance output.
PUMP, ENERGY, FOCUS & ENDURANCE - "Yeah Buddy"
It is easy to see this supplement clearly is a pre workout with a focus on energy more than pumps. Beta-Alanine and Hydromax will give you a good pump, but nothing crazy here.
The true power is in the combination of the focus blend and energy bomb mix. So, you can expect a bit of pump, but probably not a whole lot. With that being said, I think the energy and focus matrix is a very solid combination of substances, although some will argue the dosage is too low.
More specifically, we don't know how much of what we get, but we do know we get a combination of proven energy boosting substances. Now I haven't tested Yeah Buddy yet, so this isn't based on personal experience with the PWO, but just thoughts based on the supplement facts.
Personally I think the caffeine level is a bit too high and the total dosage of the "Yeah Buddy" Bomb blend is a bit too low. With that being said, the caffeine might be spot on, considering that part of is time released, and the bomb blend might do the trick as solid substances are used.
Another note here is that I generally prefer slightly underdosed compared to overdosed. Sure the price point might be a bit higher, but you always have the option to double up on the serving size if you want more buzz. In addition to this, I am of the opinion that a pre-workout shouldn't give you insane amounts of energy. It should be that small buzz that gives you power to do a rep. or two more; not buzz you up so you feel like dancing in the gym.
With that in mind, I actually think Yeah Buddy might have hit a perfect combination here. However, the final verdict on this will have to wait until I have tested the pre-workout, myself.
You might get a bit of tingle from the 2,000 mg beta-alanine. The caffeine would, at the listed level, cause jittery for most people, if it wasn't time released. But since part of it is, jittery might (and hopefully) not be any issue.
Personally, I don't respond very well to Yohimbine, but I know lots of people love the stuff and see no negative side-effects whatsoever. I think it's safe to say you won't see any side-effects from the rest of the stuff listed in the supplement facts, considering the dosage, but you naturally need to be careful, follow directions and follow your own guts.
